ATA-NC Charlotte Events

Thanks to our generous volunteers and sponsors, our society has successfully organized numerous social and cultural events over the past 20+ years. Our events are great occasions to learn more about Turkey, Turkish culture, music, folk dances, and cuisine. Additionally, these events provide an excellent environment for newcomers to the Charlotte region to get to know people in our society.

ATA-NC Charlotte continues to hold cultural events each year. The following is a partial list of events that we conduct on a recurring schedule:

Turkish Nights & Children’s Festivals

  • These nights are typically done twice a year (once in Spring and once in Winter). Their timing typically corresponds to a festivity (Bayram) in Turkey.

International Festivals

  • Held annually, each September at UNC Charlotte

Turkish Picnics

  • These picnics are typically held twice a year (for 29th of October, the Turkish Republic Day celebration, and for the 23rd of April, the international Children’s Festival celebration).
