ATA-NC Charlotte is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded by Turkish-Americans and friends in the greater Charlotte region. Our goal is to create the social and cultural environment needed to promote interaction between American and Turkish societies, facilitate the integration of newcomers to our society, promote awareness of Turkish culture in the greater Charlotte region, share Turkish heritage with our community, and inform the local American and Turkish societies on issues related to Turkey.

We are excited to announce that Turkish Festival of Charlotte will take place on October 16th (Sunday) at the Extravaganza Depot on North Tryon Street. Please let us know if you would like to be a vendor or a volunteer. We are also looking for more sponsors for this event. Please contact us by going to "Contact" section of this website.

A Success Story: First Turkish Festival of Charlotte

Dear Members of the Turkish American Society,
The First Turkish Festival of Charlotte turned out to be a great success. A crowd of about 1000 - 1500 people have come to the Extravaganza Depot on Tryon to enjoy Turkish hospitality, food, folk dances, music, hand crafts, plays, culture and more. During the interviews with Charlotte Observer and Channel 14, I felt proud to talk about our community and the beauties of our country.
